Today marks an incredible 25 years since Freya Cross, Head of Business & Corporate, was employed at the Business Centre @ The Deep.
Though the Business Centre did not officially open its doors to clients until 2001, it actually launched as a start-up in 2000. Prior to opening, Freya was involved in operating from an office on Ferensway, overseeing the installation of state-of-the-art communications facilities and contacting prospective tenants.
Since 2001, the Business Centre @ The Deep has supported 119 business start-ups, and has been the location of choice for 95 new regional and national offices in the city. In total, the centre has supported the growth of over 265 companies since opening nearly 25 years ago.
2024 saw the centre undergo a brand refresh, including a new logo as well as a change in name to Business Centre @ The Deep. Helping to strength its core business and connection to The Deep, the new identity has helped cultivate a sense of place, and roots the organisation’s identity within the Humber region. Over 7 new organisations were welcomed as both resident and virtual clients in 2024, and over 470 individual bookings were made for meeting rooms.
Freya Cross, Head of Business and Corporate at Business Centre @ The Deep, said:
“As I reflect on the past 25 years, it’s been a true pleasure to see how the Business Centre has evolved, and to remember just how many organisations we have welcomed across this time.”
“To know that many businesses we supported, both as start-ups and larger organisations, have continued their growth and made an impact on our fantastic city, fills me with immense pride.”
“Over the years, we have fostered an inspiring collaborative and friendly business community, and I look forward to continuing to see this flourish for years to come.”
Business Centre @ The Deep offers a wide range of high quality office spaces for businesses of all sizes, complete with stunning waterfront views and ample free on-site parking.
