Income Systems signs up for the Deep

The growth in e-commerce and particularly online payments is driving the success of a high-tech business based in Hull.
Income Systems is also expanding its footprint, having started at the home of local entrepreneur Paul Harvie and progressed via a virtual office to a suite at The Deep Business Centre.
Chris Griffin, Commercial Director of Income Systems, said: “We have signed a couple of significant new customer deals for this year and are also growing our pipeline and services. Paul has grown this from a one-man band working from home in 2010 to eight employees at The Deep.”
Paul’s background includes 30 years in programming with BT and Siemens before he identified the opportunity to develop a niche payment application and services around how companies use the web, CRM and online payments.
Client testimonials include glowing reviews from British Gas Hive Active Heating, which chose Income Systems to provide direct debit payments, and Enclothed, the runaway success story featured on BBC Dragons Den series earlier this year which utilises Income System’s card payment solution.

Freya Cross, Business and Corporate Manager at The Deep, said Income Systems is the latest success story from a Business Centre which specialises in guiding startup ventures and now houses 45 tenants employing around 200 people. She said: “The Deep was built as a regeneration project for Hull, and the same applies to the Business Centre. We have spearheaded the city’s regeneration not just for our staff and our organisation but also for all those companies who started their business with us.
“Some of them have expanded to larger premises within the Business Centre and others have moved out to other sites, providing opportunities for more new companies to start their journeys with us.
“Since opening in 2001 we have supported around 120 fledgling businesses, only eight of which have failed to progress. We have an excellent record of managing and growing businesses and our success rate is well above the national average”
